How well does your DVR CCTV Recorder capture your CCTV camera images?

In order to capture high quality CCTV cameras you need a high quality video recorder, many of the older cctv recorders sold on eBay and at cheaper CCTV retailers do not record very high quality. We have made a video showing the different recording resolutions available today.

CIF 352 X 288
D1 704 x 576
960H 960 x 576
720p HD 1280 x 720
1080p HD 1920 x 1080
3 Megapixel 2048 x 1536

CIF is the lowest quality resolution giving 352 x 288 Pixel recordings

D1 is the next highest with a pixel resolution of 704 x 576, this is the highest quality available on the majority of low cost DVR's found online

960H is the highest analog resolution available today, giving a wide-D1 image of 960 x 576 pixels

720p is classed as half- HD, giving a 1280 x 720 pixels wide screen image.

1080p is Full HD, this is the same resolution as broadcast by the BBC and Sky HD 1920 x 1080 pixels

3 Megapixel - This is higher than 1080P giving 2048 x 1536 pixels and is only available for IP cameras, cameras up to 8 Megapixel are available, call us for details.
